Reporting to the Asst. General Manager & General Manager
Salary: R8000.00 – pending experience, LIVE IN
If not on own medical aid, after 3 months of employments we make Discovery Primary Care from Discovery Health available at no cost.
Accommodation is a room with kitchenette counter, bedroom and bathroom en suite.
Deductions are made for Housekeeping – R400.00 per month for a maid to clean the room once a week and for all laundry to be done.
Electricity is deducted based on usage.
5 km’s from Howick (Pick ‘n Pay, Clicks, Woolworths Foods, Hospital) and 40 km’s from Pietermaritzburg.
Uniforms provided for summer and winter. Staff to provide own stockings, shoes and belts as per requirements.
5Day week – 8 days off every 4 weeks / taken each week not accumulated
15 days annual leave per annum Computer Literacy Word, Excel, Opera required. Microsoft Office required.
Staff Compliment: Works with the Banqueting Manager and Receptionists
Overview of Job
The position will be required to manage and maintain the bookings system of the Hotel and ensure that standards are upheld at all times for reservations and Front Office.
Specific Job Description
As a Supervisor, your role is to manage the accommodation, booking and property management system of the Hotel. You will take responsibility and assist for marketing and promoting all accommodations and bookings to maximise sales and will participate in maintaining such systems. You will be responsible for bookings, payments and running of such reservations within the portfolio. You maintain systems of control, developing and updating standards.
You are to maintain the Opera system as to bookings, payments, reservations, admin, filing, follow ups, confirmations, Agents, STO contracts yearly, but not limited to only such.
You will also work closely with Receptionists and maintain their standards to our Guests and for the Department. Shifts may be required here aswell. You will be a Team leader.
