Assistant Front Office Manager

 

Scope and general purpose of the job:

 

 To supervise and control all Front Office areas to the standards laid down by the company, maximising profits to agreed budgetary limits

 

 Key Performance Areas:

 

1.

 

Supervise Front Office staff

 

2.

 

Train and Coach staff on an ongoing basis

 

3.

 

Resolve Guests problems quickly and efficiently

 

4.

 

Maintain set standards operating procedures of front office 

 

5.

 

Discipline staff where necessary

 

6.

 

Scheduling of staff

 

7.

 

Ensure front office and public areas are clean and tidy

 

9.

 

Self Management

 

 

Line of Reporting and Communication

 

Responsible to:

 

Rooms Division Manager

 

Responsible for:

 

Porters, Switchboard Operators, Receptionist and Reservationists

 

In communication with:

 

Rooms Division Manager, F&B Manager, Housekeeping Manager, Banqueting Manager, HR Manager, Accountant, Head Chef, Maintenance Manager, Entertainment Manager and Marketing Manager

Qualification and Experience Requirements

 

Minimum Qualification: 

 

Grade 12

Hospitality related Diploma or Alternatively equivalent practical in-house training

 

Minimum level of Experience:

 

2 years in Position of Assistant Front Office

 

 

 

Disqualifiers:

 

1.

 

Must be prepared to work shifts, overtime and work on weekends and public holidays
