  • Leadership & Management
    – Maintain and ensure the good will of theLodge brand at property level;
    – To ensure the Lodge management perform to the company standard, having a tangible presence with guests and staff;
    – To ensure the management structure of the Lodge is streamlined and effective and in line with hospitality trends;
    -Attend monthly management meetings and provide regular reports.

Development & Staff Management
– To earmark and develop individuals who show potential to grow into positions;
– To manage the implementation of training plans;
– Provide effective leadership through professional employee relations and encouragement of all subordinates, including mediation.
• Communication & Systems
-To maintain the use of existing systems in line with company Collection standards;
-To ensure both verbally and through effective communication platforms, that the front-line staff communicate accurately and articulately with all guests.
• Human Resources & Community
-To build and maintain good employee relations, ensure HR policies, procedures and disciplinary code are upheld;
-Strategically initiate & develop succession plans within the employee base;
-Maintain and support good relations within the surrounding communities.
• Financial & Compliance
-Compliance to all operational expenditure budgets during the annual budget setting, process for presentation to General Manager of Operations;
-To ensure compliance with set operational variable costs;
-To attend monthly meeting with company Collection Financial Manager
-To ensure relevant operating licenses are in place and current.
✓ Grade 12 (essential)
✓ Degree/Diploma in Management/Finance/Tourism (advantageous)
✓ At least 5 years’ experience in senior Lodge Management positions
✓ MS Office Suite
✓ Proven track record of having made targets and managed medium size teams

Assistant Lodge Manager Limpopo R12,000-R13,500

Assistant Lodge Manager required for a game lodge in the Limpopo province R12,000 to R13,500, plus accommodation, meals, medical aid and provident fund.


Our client in the Waterberg is looking for a professional Assistant Lodge Manager. The Assistant Lodge Manager, with previous experience in a high-end service delivery environment, will assist the Lodge Manager and General Manager in creating a high standard and welcoming environment for the property’s guest.


Key areas of focus will be:


  • Ensuring a high standard of service through all service areas (F&B, hosting, Housekeeping, etc)
  • Manage and oversee daily administrational matters (orders, Health and Safety, timesheets and rosters etc) and lodge staff. Basic knowledge of HR matters and procedures required.
  • Hosting guests and ensuring that their stay meets both the guests and company’s expectation.
  • Maintain the smooth operation of the Lodge, its facilities, infrastructure, services and functions
  • Daily and Monthly stocktake and inventory control.
  • Communicate and report to Lodge and General Manager and submit monthly reports.
  • Assist with gardens, landscaping, maintenance, general operations.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers.
  • Coordinate and manage large groups, logistics and activities.


The Assistant Lodge Manager should have a positive out-going personality and should be guest orientated and service minded, with a strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure.  The successful candidate should have a strong eye for detail and should be an all-rounder, capable of fitting in where necessary to ensure the operation runs smoothly and efficiently.


Minimum Requirements:

Hospitality / Tourism Diploma or similar (eg. Hotel / Lodge Management related qualification)

Fluency in English (with Afrikaans being beneficial)

Minimum of two to four years in similar position.

Must have Drivers Licence (beneficial having PDP)

Computer literate (Microsoft Office)

Maintenance Manager Limpopo (salary neg)


  • Assume full responsibility for maintaining the overall operation and administration of the maintenance and gardens department, as well as the appearance and working order of the interior and exterior of the properties, including landscaping, swimming pool maintenance, and all other facilities and equipment
  • Coordinate and manage all maintenance and gardens team members
  • Schedule current and upcoming work assignments; distribute and sort assignments into and according to identified priorities, including emergency repairs
  • Coordinate and manage maintenance and repairs to structural, mechanical, electrical and water systems
  • To devise, manage and implement environmentally sustainable solutions on daily operations
  • Effective cost control and department budgeting, ensuring that the necessary stock is ordered and on hand as required, and managing stock control in accordance to par levels and company standards
  • To follow, monitor, manage, train, review and implement performance standards to establish and maintain a streamlined and efficient operation
  • Maintain discipline in the department according to company standards, address deviations according to disciplinary company standards
  • To ensure that effective training programs for staff are being conducted on a regular basis

  • A thorough knowledge of and be able to carry out R&M relating to electrical (Single & Three phase), Air conditioning Carpentry, General building skills, Painting, Gas heating systems, Plumbing, Grey water reticulation
  • Grade 12
  • An electrical qualification will be a strong advantage
  • Computer/ administration skills
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Valid driver’s license
