Position Title: Sous Chef

Department: Food & Beverages

Purpose:

To plan, co-ordinate, facilitate and supervise the food preparation, menu planning, maintaining food quality and freshness, monitoring ordering and stocking and support the smooth running of the kitchen department, where all aspects of culinary experience are delivered to the highest food quality standard.

Qualifications:

Min National Trade Certificate

Diploma in Professional Cookery (NQF 6)

Experience: Min 5 Years

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Sous Chef in a 4* or 5* hotel operations or Michelin Star restaurant.
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary arts and a passion for creating new and innovative dishes
  • Experience in fine dining restaurant with an international clientele
  • Experience in creating diverse and appealing buffet menus tailored to different occasions

Other:

  • Knowledge of Micros, MC , EMC and Jarrison will be added advantage.
  • Beer course will an added advantage.
  • International experience in Michelin Star Restaurant.
  • HACCP trained.

Salary Scale: N$212 000.00 to N$265 000.00pa negotiable
