📌 Position Overview

A well‑established hospitality property is seeking a Creditors Clerk to support the finance office and ensure accurate, efficient financial administration. The role works closely with the Accountant and oversees creditor management, stock administration, and general office duties.

This is a single live‑in position (private room, en‑suite bathroom, kitchen counter; water & lights included within reasonable use).

💰 Salary

Up to R10,000 gross per month (Live‑in accommodation included)

⏰ Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 07h00 – 16h00
  • 15 days annual leave per annum worked

👗 Uniforms

  • Summer and winter uniforms provided
  • Staff to supply own stockings, shoes, and belts

💻 Required Computer Literacy

  • SAGE Pastel – essential
  • Microsoft Word & Excel – required
  • Microsoft Office email – required
  • Micros POS – advantage

🏨 Property Overview

The role supports a dynamic hospitality environment including:

  • 32‑bedroom hotel
  • Laundry, spa, lounges, bars, cellar, offices
  • Two restaurants (150‑seater Bistro & Conservatory)
  • Chapel & 150‑seater conference venue
  • Public areas and general facilities
  • 12‑sleeper self‑catering farmhouse

📝 Key Responsibilities

  • 📦 Weekly ordering & procurement for General Stores
  • 🧾 Capturing invoices in Pastel & Micros
  • 🗂 Filing & maintaining creditor/debtor documentation
  • 📊 Monthly creditor reconciliations
  • 💳 Preparing weekly payment schedules
  • 📞 Resolving daily creditor queries
  • 🔄 Processing inter‑departmental transfers
  • 📉 Counter‑checking stock counts & capturing stock
  • 🧮 General administrative duties
  • 🤝 Maintaining positive supplier relationships

  • Hotel accounting experience beneficial

BOOKKEEPER – HOTEL / SHAREBLOCK PORTFOLIO-KZN

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage the financial administration of a hospitality shareblock portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting within a Hotel or hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping up to trial balance

• Process debtors and creditors

• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations

• Prepare monthly financial reports and cash flow reports

• Capture and reconcile invoices, payments, and receipts

• Assist with budget preparation and expense control

• Process payroll information where required

• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures

• Liaise with auditors, suppliers, and management

• Monitor levy payments, owner accounts, and shareblock-related financial administration

• Assist with stock control and hospitality financial administration where applicable

 

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven bookkeeping experience within hospitality, hotels, lodges, or property management

• Relevant financial qualification advantageous

• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting procedures

• Strong Excel and administrative skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Good communication and organizational skills

 

Advantageous:

• Experience in shareblock or sectional title administration

• Hospitality industry experience

Salary is R 14 000 – R 22 000 DOE
