🧹 Role Overview
The Housekeeping & Laundry Manager ensures impeccable cleanliness, presentation, hygiene and guest comfort across rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house and laundry facilities. This role requires a proactive leader with exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational capability and the ability to motivate and manage a team of 20.
📋 Key Responsibilities
- ⭐ Uphold and implement five‑star housekeeping standards.
- 👥 Manage, schedule and support a team of 20 housekeepers.
- 🔍 Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas and laundry facilities.
- 🎓 Provide training, feedback and performance monitoring.
- 📦 Maintain par stock levels and manage supplies and equipment.
- 💰 Oversee departmental budgets with strong cost control.
- 🗣️ Address guest feedback and resolve complaints.
- 🛡️ Ensure compliance with Health & Safety guidelines.
- 🤝 Collaborate with other departments for seamless operations.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years’ luxury hospitality housekeeping experience.
- 2+ years managing a housekeeping department in a five‑star lodge/hotel.
- Strong computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- HMS Infor & Sage experience advantageous.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Proven organisational and inventory control skills.
