🌿 Management Couple – Luxury Lodge (Limpopo Province)
Live‑In Position | Luxury Lodge
Salary: From R45,000 (DOE) + Food Allowance
A well‑established luxury lodge in the Limpopo province is seeking an experienced Management Couple to oversee full lodge operations, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and maintain high standards across all departments. This is a live‑in role suited to a mature, hands‑on couple with strong hospitality, guiding, and operational expertise.
🔸 Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Operations
- Host guests on arrival and ensure a seamless, personalised stay.
- Conduct twice‑daily game drives and guided bush walks (FGASA Level 2 required for guiding partner).
- Oversee all lodge operations, ensuring efficiency, professionalism, and exceptional service delivery.
- Manage consumables, groceries, equipment, and lodge assets.
- Prepare annual shareholder/guest calendars and issue invoices after each stay.
- Monitor operational expenses and maintain accurate records.
Staff Leadership
- Manage and motivate a small team of three permanent staff, plus a chef when required.
- Oversee part‑time workers when needed.
- Prepare staff rosters and allocate daily duties.
- Ensure smooth functioning of housekeeping, laundry, and general lodge operations.
Maintenance & Compliance
- Maintain lodge buildings, grounds, and all on‑site equipment to a high standard.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with reserve protocols.
- Manage maintenance of the game‑viewer and secondary vehicle.
- Appoint external technicians for specialised or major repairs.
Administration & Coordination
- Maintain strong communication with owners.
- Report to the lodge’s leadership structure.
- Appoint a suitable stand‑in ranger during off‑cycles.
🔸 Requirements
- Proven experience as a lodge management couple.
- Strong leadership, communication, and guest‑relations skills.
- FGASA Level 2 (for guiding partner).
- Solid maintenance and problem‑solving abilities.
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as a cohesive team.
