🌿 TRAILS GUIDE – KZN | BIG 5 GAME LODGE 🌿
A respected Big 5 lodge in KwaZulu‑Natal is recruiting a professional Trails Guide to join their guiding team. This role is ideal for a calm, confident, guest‑focused guide with strong bush knowledge and a passion for delivering exceptional walking safari experiences.
📌 PACKAGE
- Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 (experience‑dependent)
- Live‑in accommodation

- Working in a stunning Big 5 environment with excellent guest interaction
🔎 REQUIREMENTS
- FGASA NQF2 or higher
- Full Trails qualification or Back‑Up Trails (minimum)
- Valid ARH, First Aid, PrDP, and all guiding paperwork up to date
- Dangerous Game experience on foot
- Strong knowledge of mammals, birds, botany, tracking, and general ecology
- Professional, well‑presented, and guest‑centric
- Physically fit and able to conduct long walks in varied terrain
- South African citizen or valid work permit
🦁 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct safe, informative, and engaging walking safaris
- Host guests on game drives when required
- Deliver world‑class guest experiences with a strong educational focus
- Maintain rifles, equipment, and vehicle readiness
- Assist with lodge duties, conservation tasks, and bush maintenance
- Keep accurate sightings logs and guiding records
- Uphold lodge guiding standards and safety protocols at all times
